Quitting substances is the first step toward complete recovery. But relapse happens, and it can be discouraging. That’s why we created our alumni support program, and it’s become a beacon of hope for many.

We’ve learned that recovery isn’t an event. Rather, it’s a lifelong process. It’s a journey best walked with others who understand what you’ve been through and what you’re experiencing now. Our alumni support program strives to help you find all the support you need to achieve sobriety.

What Is an Alumni Support Program?

Maintaining a sober life involves a lot more than just quitting a substance. It’s not merely something you do. Instead, it’s something you practice each day.

An alumni support program provides just that — the support you need to maintain your sobriety in your daily life. At Beacon House, our alumni program provides you with access to events, group meetings and weekly sessions where you can connect with others who are also on their recovery journey. Talk about how your week went and discuss any difficulties you may have experienced.

Additionally, in some cases, you may need more therapy sessions even as you share experiences with others. You can also participate in family therapy, holistic therapy and experiential therapy as part of our alumni program. No matter which kind of therapy you choose, our caring professionals will tailor the program to your individual needs. We know that no program or treatment works exactly the same for everyone, and we work with you to find the path to recovery that is best for you.

Benefits of Alumni Support

One of the biggest benefits of an alumni support program is to engage with like-minded individuals — those who are also committed to recovery and living a better life. Having a solid support system can help you stay motivated and encourage you not to give in to addiction, even when life seems to be pushing you that way.

Another benefit is access to various therapy options. For instance, with family therapy, you can receive the help you need to continue to mend relationships that may have been damaged in the throes of addiction.

Alumni support programs also include an element of fun. Events and access to experiential therapy remind you of why life is worth living — whether it’s horseback riding, surfing or simply walking along the beach, there is plenty you can do and enjoy beyond addiction!

We encourage everyone who has successfully completed our addiction treatment process to join our alumni program. It is a great opportunity to reconnect with fellow sojourners. You get to share your experiences and struggles with people who have walked in your shoes. It’s a non-judgmental, accepting and genuinely loving community.

Connect With Friends Walking the Same Journey as You

At Beacon House, we are people-oriented. We’re all about your recovery and happiness. Our professionals possess the training, experience and competence required to lead those who need us to lasting sobriety.

Your family loves you, but they may not always fully understand your situation. They may even have received our family therapy to help you get better, but they have not endured what you have.

The only people who know how difficult life after treatment feels are those who have also experienced addiction first-hand. And there’s no better place to connect with them than here. We encourage you to join our alumni support program now. Sign up and see what it can do for you. For more information, contact us today at 831.372.4366.
