The Beacon House employs a team of highly skilled and dedicated
professionals in the field of recovery. Our CADAAC certified
addiction counselors and clinicians are trained and knowledgeable in
the treatment of addiction. Our medical staff is comprised of a
certified addictionologist, a clinical psychologist and experienced
registered nurses.

Edward
T. Lacy, M.A.
Executive Director
Edward
T. Lacy, MA, Executive Director, Beacon House. Ed brings over 30
years of experience in the recovery industry and is internationally
known both as an innovator in treatment and a highly effective
executive having driven turnaround and start up strategies at many
facilities that were under performing or brand new. He was a key
member of the team that founded Oceanica Internacional, a Betty Ford
Center model of treatment, the first world class treatment center in
Mexico. Following that he led another breakthrough by starting up
Avalon, the first inpatient women’s treatment center in Latin
America. He is also well known for leading the successful and famous
Gatehouse Academy for young adults in Arizona. Mr. Lacy began his
career as the Senior Marine/Administrator at the U.S. Navy Drug and
Alcohol Counseling Institute. Over the years he has managed
facilities specializing in women’s treatment, eating disorders and
trauma. |

Meagher
Chief Operating Officer
Phyllis
Meagher, MBA, Chief Operating Officer, Beacon House. Ms. Meagher has
over 20 years of providing innovative solutions for patients in the
healthcare industry. She was most recently instrumental in driving the
successful turnaround of Casa Palmera as its Chief Operating Officer.
Her experience includes a wide variety of healthcare clinical and
executive positions. She has worked with cutting edge leaders in the
field of neuroscience and addiction, such as Dr George Koob, who is a
Professor and Chair of the Committee on the Neurobiology of Addictive
Disorders at The Scripps Research Institute. Ms. Meagher is widely
praised both for her executive ability in improving world class
facilities like The Beacon House and her innovative initiatives in
improving patient recovery. |

Larimer, PhD, FICPP
Clinical Director
Dr. Lee Larimer completed his graduate training in psychology at the
University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He completed his internship training
at the Palo Alto VA Medical Center in Palo Alto, California and his
residency at Children's Hospital in San Francisco. He has advanced
credentials in clinical psychopharmacology, couples and family
therapy, as well as the treatment of alcohol and substance abuse
disorders.
Dr. Larimer has been on the medical staff at the Community Hospital
of the Monterey Peninsula since 1980. He currently has a private
practice in clinical psychology in Pacific Grove, California. |

Dana
Sperling, M.S.
Admissions Coordinator
Dana manages assessments and admissions and she will most likely be the
first person you speak with when you call. She will sit down and work
with you personally, walking you through the intake process with
sensitivity and compassion. |
